WLYC Regatta 2016

This year's regatta was especially exciting since all 4 kids were racing.  First up was Matthew and Kate.

 Molly and Lilly wanted to sail together.

 And Jack and Shawn rounded out our teams.

 Unfortunately, there was absolutely no wind and they had to cancel the morning race.  :(
The kids could not even sail back to the club!  So they derigged and began to swim in.

 However, since we were on the other side of the lake, it would have taken too long to swim in. We gave them a tow.

 Thanks to Grampa we had front row seats to the action.

 The afternoon had much better wind.

 Matthew and Kate hit the buoy a few times and had to 360.

 In the end, Shawn and Jack received 3rd!

 Matthew and Kate received 1st!

Great weekend!  I hope they decide to sail again next year.  Since Matthew has won a trophy 2 years in a row, Molly said she wants to sail with him next year, but he may want to sail alone,.....we'll see!!
