New and Exciting......

This morning Molly read her first "real" book all by herself, Biscuit. She is really coming along with her reading as we practice. As a reluctant reader this is a big accomplishment. (Even if it is bribed with a sticker chart to wear a certain dress on Christmas Eve.)

Also, the little boys discovered the Wii this week...........very exciting as Charlie yelled out, "That was awesome!"

Exciting Morning on Cape Cod

This morning was especially exciting...Shawn received his fifth sticker on his chart to earn his dollar store pirate costume. He has slept 5 nights without his "giggi." If he sleeps 5 more nights without it, he said he would be able to give it to a new baby for Christmas. Such a big boy. Glad he is growing up, but a little sad that no one will need one anymore.

But most exciting was the sight of snow when we woke up. It is barely sticking to the ground, but the kids found a way to eat it, make snowballs and have a snowball fight.

Christmas is coming!

Yes, Matthew and Jack humored me and reluctantly took a picure with Santa. How much longer do you think this tradition will last?

Happy Birthday Chris!

Dada awoke early on his birthday to the sound of his alarm. Yet another early hockey game to coach for Matthew and Jack's. Pa Fredo met us at the rink.

Shawn received his birthday present today too. We happen to mentioned to Pa Fredo that he liked "the G football team."

Chris got a few gifts from Pa Fredo too..........including some new curtains.....lol!

Soccer Medals and New Sneakers

Molly and Shawn were excited to finally receive their long awaited soccer medals. For Shawn it was a first. You would never know how happy he was from his face, as he gave us his typical grin to say cheese.
Shawn's new friends Ryan and Matthew.
This week both Molly and Shawn got new sneakers. They are convinced they make them run faster!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween started this weekend with WLYC's Annual Halloween party. The kids were happy to dress in their costumes early.
The decorations were great. There was even a coffin.
Nick was in charge of face painting.
I think Molly had the best time. Dancing with everyone.
She learned the Cotton Eye Joe...
.....and how to dip!
Halloween morning Shawnie's preschool did Trunk or Treat. The kids paraded around the parking lot trick or treating at parent's decorated trunks. It was cute.
Shawn could fit in our trunk.
Finally, it was Halloween night and all the kids were ready.
The scary skeleton.
Jayden - the red power ranger
A goblin from the dead. And a hula girl.
I thought it was cute that Molly wanted me to be a hula girl with her.
Then the cousin party began. This year was one of the best. The kids designed a haunted house in the basement and took all the adults through it. There was even a dance to the monster mash that the little ones participated in.
Our adult costume contest was a little lacking due to the power still out at some homes. Cara and Joe just got theirs back on right before the party.
None the less, the kids voted and Pocahontas won the trophy!
Thanks to all for making it such a fun night.
