FIrst Trip To Sandy Neck

After a lazy morning, recovering from a busy Saturday, we decided to hit the beach!

The big kids were brave enough to actually swim in the cold water.

Poor Molly was, yet again, the only girl surrounded by a bunch of boys.
Playing pickle was a hit.

Then time to make spider dogs by the fire.

And, of course, smores.

It is starting to get easier.
Beautiful sunset.

Another late night for the little ones.

Getting Ready To Move - Yard Sale

Everyone could not wait for yard sale day.  The kids were up at the crack of dawn to help me bring last minute things to Nani and Grampa's. They basically played with old toys, ate donuts, and tried to sell lemonade, but ended up drinking it themselves.  No wonder they were looking forward to it.

Bird Watching

Shawn's class is studying birds this week.  He made his very own pair of binoculars and his homework is to watch and listen to birds and record what he sees.  He was very focused as I left him on the deck to make dinner.  However, when I checked on him a few minutes later I found him peeing with his binoculars still around his neck.

Then back to bird watching.  He loved having homework like everyone else and took it very seriously...........sounds familiar.

The First Tee

Jack and Matthew were among a select few to be chosen to represent their class at the First Tee mini golfing event at their school.  They were chosen for the following personal qualities: honesty, integrity, responsibility, sportsmanship, courtesy, respect, perserverance, judgment, and confidence.   We so proud of each of them that they were looked at this way and selected.  What an honor.
The event was comprised of a bunch of mini golfing themed holes, which parents and classmates were onlookers.  Scores were updated and shown on a projector on the gym wall.

Team Welsh

Both Chris and I were so proud to be there.

Molly's 6th Birthday

Molly had two birthday parties.  First a pool party with her whole kindergarten class.
Callahan stuck by her side jumping into the pool over and over.

However, it was Kayden who gave Molly a very special startfish ring.  Not sure if it was a proposal?  He picked it out himself.

On the morning of her actual birthday, her brothers were excited to give her their present.  Shawn made a cute card saying how pretty Molly is, and how much he loves her.
Surprise!  A cotton candy machine!  Yes, we had cotton candy for breakfast before school!
That night we had a simple pizza party with the cousins.

She's growing up so fast.........I can't believe kindergarten is almost over!
