Squirt A Champs!

Molly and Shawn cheered on their brothers, once again, as they played some exciting games at our home tournament.Jack received the "Player of the Game Award" after our game against Mid-State. He was recognized for his all around play; back checking, fore checking and passing.
Both Matthew and Jack stepped up their game to score goals, give assists, play smart and give it their all. They were flying around out there!
It all came down to the championship game against Canton, our league rivals. It was a big game since we have tied, lost and won against this team so far. We brought in all the recruits to help us cheer the team.!

Molly and Michelle kept busy with my camera, taking pictures. (below) Michelle was really excited for the boys, she used the pom-pons the whole time and was a true cheerleader.
The game went into sudden death over time and was so thrilling! Unfortunately, Shawn fell on the stairs and when I went to him, the winning goal was scored and the whole team flew off the bench. I had videoed most of the game and completely missed the big moment. Nani and Grampa said Chris flew off the bench and even pig-piled with the kids on the ice. I missed it all!!!
Awards were given on the ice and the team did a victory lap with the trophy.

Matthew was so happy that Trevor and Drew came to watch the game, he thanked them with a high five of his stick.
Molly and Shawn rushed the locker room and even got to wear the medals.
Proud Dada.Great weekend!
Oh yes, meanwhile Shawnie won a few raffles......a Barnstable hat and hockey coat. He looked so cute all dressed in red.

Shawn's School Art/Puppet Show

Shawn could not wait until after dinner to go to his art show at his school. He thought it was great to be going to his school in the dark. When we got there we spotted his first painting right away.

Then it was time for the puppet show and Shawn was picked to help out.

Afterwards we had cookies and finally found his other piece of artwork.
On the way out I took a quick picture of all the kids together. Shawn was dissappointed in the format of the night. He thought we was going to stand up in front of everyone and show them his individual art work. So when I said it was time to leave you can tell from his face he was clearly not happy.

Mary Poppins with the Girl Cousins

Cara put together a girls trip to Providence to see Mary Poppins for all the little girl cousins. It was Molly's first theater production and she was very excited. Wanting to get all dressed up she chose this outfit............she just cannot get enough of her pink sparkley dress and an opportunity to wear the heels she bought with her own money. Not sure why she needed the sunglasses, but she insisted. I wasn't sure about this look, as I was hoping for a nice conservative dress, but decided it was her night.......

However, I put my foot down when she wanted the feather boa......who is this girl?

We were both very excited to go out together and have some girl fun!
Driving in the car.
At dinner.

Waiting for the show to start.
What a great time! We didn't get home until 11:30.......Molly loved every minute and said she can't wait to do it again. I smell a yearly tradition here!!! Thanks Cara! :)

THANK YOU so much for sending some love to Shawnie!

Shawn was THRILLED to finally receive some mail. I wish I could have taped him opening the mailbox and finding the first piece of mail with his name on it. You would have thought he just won the lottery, he was yelling in disbelief, "S-H-A-W-N, it is for me! It says Shawnie Fredo! I got mail!!!" Hysterical.... Thanks everyone. :)

Molly Receives Her Daisy Pin

Molly has really been enjoying being a Daisy. She loves being part of a girl group and the fact that she is called a "sister" while there. Below is a picture of her waiting for the hand squeeze to come her way.
When it reaches her, she is all smiles.
Afterward, she received her Daisy pin as she is welcomed into the world of Girl Scouts.
She recited the Girl Scout Promise.

So much fun.

NYL 2012 Hundreds Club

Since the pictures were taken with Chris's phone, it took me a bit to post. The pictures did not come out that great, too fuzzy. This one was the clearest. Next time we will bring the camera.
Not too exciting this time, we didn't know the band's songs and it was too loud! I guess we are getting old.....ha, ha.
