Clamming on Cape Cod!

This week's field trip was to go clamming.  I didn't get many pictures because we were covered in mud.  Linda lead the way teaching us all the tricks to find steamers.  Then when the tide came up we moved into the water and looked for quohogs.  Jack and Matthew had to work during the low tide, but Molly and Shawn gave it a try.  Molly lasted only a few minutes before she got bored.  We have her the job to measure the clams.  Shawn was a fisherman!  He found tons on steamers and was a great little worker!  He also was the the only one besides Linda who had more energy to looks for quohogs!

Chris forgot we were clamming today and was surprised by the "smell of Maine."

Jack had to be coerced to come out and try one.

Not a fan, but polite about it.

I guess 2 out of 2 isn't bad!
