Since our Martha's Vineyard trip was cancelled we decided to head out to Orleans to explore some new beaches.
We landed at Skaket Beach..................what a view! The tide goes out for over a mile. It was like being on the moon!
It was a very long walk to reach the ocean and took about 20 minutes.
After lunch we headed to Nauset Beach.
The waves were fun, but it was a little rocky.
The most fun it seemed was making barricades from the waves.
Until they got washed away! ha, ha
We gave Skaket beach a 9 and will definitely go back. Nauset was lower on the rating scale. I gave it a 4. The kids were happy to see waves, but the rocks were tough. There is nothing like Fortune's Rocks Beach in Maine. Looking forward to soft sand and big waves.
