Yesterday Molly found a small cat trapped in the pricker bushes in the woods behind our house. Matthew helped her get her out, but we had to leave for hockey. Molly was so upset at leaving her. We got some kitty treats and after hockey hoped she might still be there for Molly's sake. She was still in the woods when we got home and came right out to us. She was so friendly, just wanting to be pet. All the kids came around and she went up to everyone and even let us hold her. She seemed hungry, so after a few treats we got out a food bowl. It turns out she was starving, she ate it all up. She seems to be adopting us, wanting to come inside at every window..........the kids have already named her Prickles. Not sure how Lucy feels about this...she just stares and occasionally hisses, not Prickles though. She never hisses at Lucy and seems to want to be her friend. Could this be Lilly?? lol We will take Prickles to the shelter today to see if she has a chip or is reported as a lost cat.
(This whole event is very upsetting to Molly, our little animal lover.)
