Hockey on Martha's Vineyard

Matthew and Jack had a game on Martha's Vineyard today against a Squirt team. They were really excited.....so were Molly and Shawn. They did many exciting and NEW thing in during their adventure. First we all rode a bus to the ferry, which was a big deal for the little ones, who only watch buses pass them by at the bus stop.

Molly and Shawn new they were going to ride a boat, but thought it would be just like Grampa's. Shawn insisted he was going to drive it. The horn was a little scary, and of course, it was foggy, so the horn blew about every three minutes the ENTIRE RIDE.

Matthew and Jack had a blast with their teammates!

Once there, we had some time to wait. Luckily we met the zambonie driver who let Molly and Shawn sit in it and drive. This was a big deal, as the zambonie is one of the big highlights when going to a hockey game.

Shawn liked driving it, he just wasn't so sure about this strange man talking to him. Jack is such a good brother and picked Molly up so she could watch the game before us.

Shawn loved hanging out with the "big kids" and they liked hanging out with him.

A Fredo defense...........

Matthew defending the goal.....

Jack skating the puck up from our goal to theirs...........
Barnstable won 4-1.
The boat ride home....

The car ride home......

Another fun family day!
